Leisure skating activity schedules
Select a recreation facility from the below list to see available leisure skates and schedules.
Advance booking is not required for leisure ice skating, roller skating/blading, stick and puck or shinny hockey. Please arrive at the facility during the scheduled time of the activity and pay applicable admissions fees at the reception desk.
While the City works to ensure activity schedules are offered as presented on activeOshawa Online, inclement weather, facility closures and maintenance may result in schedules being adjusted. Subscribe to the Service Disruptions email list to stay informed.
Oshawa Residents 55+ Now Qualify for Recreation Discounts
City Council recently lowered the minimum senior age from 65 years old to 55 years old. Oshawa residents 55 years of age and older now qualify for discounts on recreation programs, memberships and admission fees. Learn more.

Roller skating/Blading at Delpark Homes Centre
Starting May 11, Delpark Homes Centre will offer Public Roller skating/blading on Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Roller skating/Blading at Donevan Recreation Complex Arena
Starting April 26, Donevan Recreation Complex will offer Public Roller skating/blading on Fridays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Harman Park Arena
Leisure skating at Harman Park Arena has concluded for the season. We look forward to seeing you again in Fall 2024.

Activity | Description |
---|---|
Adult Skate | An open skate for community members 18 years of age and older. |
Parent & Tot Skate | A slower-paced environment for young skaters 6 years and younger. An adult must provide constant, active, on ice supervision. |
Public Skate | An open skate for participants of all ages. |
Public rollerskating/rollerblading | Skaters 6 years and younger must be accompanied on the floor by a parent/guardian and must wear a helmet (ex. hockey, bike, skate board helmet). |
Shinny Hockey | Full hockey equipment is required, including CSA approved hockey helmet. Youth shinny participants (under 18 years) must wear a full face mask. Players must sign-in and pay at the reception desk before going on the ice and capacity limits are enforced. |
Stick and Puck | This skate is intended for participants to practice passing and stickhandling. CSA approved hockey helmets are mandatory for everyone; all skaters under 18 years must wear a full face mask. Game play and team practices are not permitted. Hockey nets, skating aids and other training equipment are not permitted. Skaters 6 years and younger must be accompanied and supervised on the ice by a parent/guardian; maximum of 3 children per parent/guardian. Capacity limits are enforced. |
