Oshawa Peony Festival blooms into its 20th year

The City of Oshawa is thrilled to present the 20th annual Peony Festival on Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9 at the Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens located adjacent to Children’s Arena (155 Arena St.).
Named one of Ontario’s Top 100 Festivals and Events, the festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It features one of Canada’s largest contemporary peony collections in bloom in the gardens, in addition to hundreds of cut blooms displayed inside the arena during the Canadian Peony Society judged peony...

Waste collection schedules will change for some Oshawa households beginning June 3, 2024. Households affected by the change will be notified directly via a door hanger and a letter in the mail. Alternatively, community members can visit Oshawa.ca/WasteLookUp to determine if their property is affected.

The City of Oshawa invites all community members to attend the inaugural Indigenous Cultural Celebration on Saturday, June 1 at Ed Broadbent Park. The event will kick-off Indigenous History Month by recognizing and celebrating the beautiful and rich culture of the various Indigenous Peoples of Turtle Island.
This event is presented as part of the City’s centennial celebrations, as a recognition that the history of Oshawa long surpasses the 100 year milestone.
