The City of Oshawa is pleased to announce that on July 10, Oshawa City Council endorsed the renewal of a new Collective Agreement with CUPE Local 251 (Inside Workers).
The renewal agreement, which will expire on December 31, 2025, includes modest benefit increases and wage increases of 3.0% effective for January 1, 2023; 2.5% for January 1, 2024; and 2.5% for January 1, 2025.

The City of Oshawa is pleased to announce the official reopening of Fenelon/Venus Park, a neighbourhood park featuring new playground equipment and accessible features. Members of City Council and representatives from Heritage Oshawa and Scouts Canada celebrated the heritage designation of Camp Samac and installation of a heritage plaque.
Designated as a property of cultural heritage value or interest under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act, a heritage plaque is now installed prominently at Camp Samac’s main gateway structure on Simcoe Street North.

Building upon the City of Oshawa’s energy reduction actions and achievements, City Council has approved a new Corporate Energy Management Plan.
The 2024-2028 Corporate Energy Management Plan combines the City’s previous Corporate Facilities Energy Management Plan and includes the goals and objectives of the City’s Corporate Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan.
