2024 Oshawa City Budget adopted

The 2024 City of Oshawa budget has been adopted. The 2024 budget is aligned with Council’s guiding principle of financial stewardship and the City’s Financial Strategy.
The 2024 budget requires a 3.89% increase to the overall City tax levy, which represents an increase to the Oshawa portion of the residential tax bill of approximately $82.25 (or $6.85 a month) on a property assessed at $356,000 (Oshawa’s median house assessment value as published by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation)...

Register now for curbside Christmas tree pickup in the new year

With the holiday’s fast approaching, registration for the City of Oshawa’s curbside Christmas Tree collection program is now open. Register at Oshawa.ca/treecollection and scratch this task off your holiday to-do list.
Community members are asked to register their address by Thursday, January 4, 2024, in order to receive curbside collection of their Christmas tree. To register visit Oshawa.ca/treecollection or by calling Service Oshawa at 905-436-3311.

Reminders for a safe winter season in Oshawa

Winter weather is here and the City of Oshawa is encouraging everyone to be a good neighbour this winter season as snow and ice removal responsibilities take effect.
On-street parking
On-street parking is not permitted on Oshawa streets from December 1 to April 1 between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Vehicles may be ticketed and/or towed during that time, regardless of snow clearing operations and weather conditions.

Ontario Power Generation showcases renovation progress at new corporate headquarters in Oshawa

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) has unveiled new property signage and highlighted some of the major renovation work underway at the company’s future corporate headquarters located at 1908 Colonel Sam Drive in Oshawa.
