Ontario’s Big City Mayors (OBCM) met on June 17 to call for an emergency joint meeting with the province to accelerate solutions to address chronic homelessness, mental health, safety, and addictions issues in our communities. Today, the City of Oshawa officially unveiled the Ed Broadbent Waterfront Park sign and began construction with a ceremonial ground-breaking.
The City of Oshawa’s newest addition to the waterfront parks system is located at the southeast corner of Simcoe Street South and Harbour Road and named in recognition of political icon and Oshawa native Ed Broadbent.
