In a recent report released by CBRE, Oshawa ranked as one of the top 5 markets for tech talent growth across Canada.

Ensuring that community safety is the upmost priority, Oshawa City Council has approved the 2020 Fire Master Plan and Community Risk Assessment in addition to significant investments in Oshawa Fire Services.

The City of Oshawa is introducing a new business licensing system for short-term rental operators renting their properties in the city.
Short-term rentals (S.T.R.) are properties rented out as temporary accommodations on S.T.R. company websites or apps. Examples are Airbnb, VRBO and HomeAway.
The S.T.R. Operator business licensing system is intended to:
