Help Celebrate Lakeview Park’s 100th Anniversary

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Lakeview Park, the City of Oshawa invites artists of all ages, mediums and skill levels to submit proposals showcasing Lakeview Park past and present for the most recent installation of temporary public art in Oshawa.
The temporary art project will see the City’s Public Art Task Force choosing 10 submissions that will then be featured on banners showcased on the existing light poles throughout Lakeview Park.

On behalf of Oshawa City Council, we welcome the Ontario Government’s announcement that Oshawa and our neighbouring municipalities have moved into the second stage of the province’s reopening plan.
We look forward to our economy safely reopening. For Oshawa, this means that even more businesses and public facilities may begin to reopen while ensuring to incorporate measures to prevent the spread of infection.
As always, the health and safety of our community members and staff is our first priority....

Gratitude blooms at Lakeridge Health Oshawa

The City of Oshawa is proud to share a colourful thank you message in full bloom in Alexandra Park across from the entrance of Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
The new 300-square-foot garden displays over 1,000 encore red Begonias spelling out the words “Thank you” surrounded by a pink and white Begonia border.

City of Oshawa celebrates Pride with a Rainbow Crosswalk

As we celebrate Pride in our communities this month, the City of Oshawa has installed a Rainbow Crosswalk at the main entrance to Oshawa City Hall adjacent to The Robert McLaughlin Art Gallery.
The City obtained community feedback on three proposed locations for a Rainbow Crosswalk in Oshawa.
Based on the feedback received, the most preferred location was the pedestrian crosswalk located adjacent to the main entrance to Oshawa City Hall (50 Centre St. S.), and The Robert McLaughlin Art Gallery.
