In March 2020, the City of Oshawa proclaimed Sunday, May 31 through to Saturday, June 6 as National AccessAbility Week (N.A.A.W.) in Oshawa.

The City of Oshawa has launched a new interactive map that will enable genealogy and history enthusiasts to search Union Cemetery interment records.
The interactive map supports independent exploration of available cemetery records. Aspiring historians can search by family name to find resting place locations and interment date. Oshawa’s Bright and Merry Market has been named Best New Festival or Event by Festivals & Events Ontario (F.E.O.).
In addition, Bright and Merry Market, along with Oshawa’s Peony Festival both earned their place in the Top 100 Festivals & Events in Ontario for 2020. This is the eighth consecutive win for the Peony Festival and the first time Bright and Merry Market has made the Top 100 list.

Call for Photos for Oshawa Strategic Plan

Your photos could be featured in the new Oshawa Strategic Plan (O.S.P.) that will guide the work of the City of Oshawa from 2020 to 2023. Submit your favourite Oshawa photos online for consideration in the final design of the plan.
Oshawa residents, post-secondary students and community members who are 18 years of age or older can submit photos until Friday, February 14. Selected photos may be used in the print document, online version and/or promotion of the 2020-2023 Oshawa Strategic Plan....
