HOPA Notice Update: Oshawa Pier will reopen Saturday, October 9

The Hamilton Oshawa Port Authority (HOPA Ports) and City of Oshawa are pleased to share that the pier at the Oshawa waterfront will reopen to the public on Saturday, October 9.
The pier was temporarily closed following a vessel incident in September.

The City of Oshawa recently made changes to the Committee of Adjustment Calendar. It can now be found here: Oshawa.ca/CofACalendar.
The Committee of Adjustment (C. of A.) is a committee of five Council appointed citizens to consider minor variances to the City's Zoning By-law. The Committee also considers extensions, enlargements or variations to existing legal non-conforming uses.

The City of Oshawa tree canopy continues to be impacted by the invasive insect Emerald Ash Borer (E.A.B.). As a result, community members may see forestry contractors in their neighbourhood removing ash trees that are impacted by the insect and potentially creating a risk to the public and/or the surrounding property.
