Exercise caution during grass fire season

A dry winter and the return of warmer temperatures has increased the potential for grass fires to occur because open fields, wooded areas and pathways are covered with dry vegetation.
Oshawa Fire Services reminds residents that grass fires are unpredictable and can quickly spread out of control and endanger adjacent structures such as homes.

Parks and Facilities By-law clarification

The City of Oshawa is clarifying the recent amendments to the Parks and Facilities By-law 83-2000.
Since 2000, the existing Parks and Facilities By-law (83-2000), has required organizers to obtain a facility booking permit for organized gatherings in City parks and facilities.
