The City of Oshawa is inviting the community to celebrate Canada Day at Lakeview Park for a day of fun with friends and family on Monday, July 1.
The celebration begins at 2 p.m. with activities and entertainment for all ages. There is something for everyone, including family-friendly options such as inflatables, Spot On Dog Show, Vital! Recreation Facility Holiday Hours - Canada Day

Holiday Hours: Canada Day
City recreation facilities will operate on modified hours of operation on Monday, July 1, Canada Day.
Monday, July 1- Camp Samac Outdoor Pool open for public swimming.
- Delpark Homes Centre open 11 a.m. to 5p.m.
- Lakeview Park Beach supervised by lifeguards from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., weather permitting.
- All other recreation facilities are closed and activeOshawa registered recreation programs are cancelled.

Lakeview Park Beach
Lakeview Park Beach is now open for the season. Lakeview Park Beach will be staffed with lifeguards between 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., until Monday, September 2, weather and conditions permitting.

Volunteers wanted for June cleanup event

The City of Oshawa is calling on Oshawa community members, local organizations and businesses to join in and lend a hand to make the neighbourhoods, parks, trails and greenspaces in the downtown core cleaner with the next downtown community clean-up occurring on Saturday, June 22 beginning at 9 a.m.
Community members interested in participating in the downtown community clean-up are required to pre-register in advance at Oshawa.ca/MayorsCleanup or learn more by visiting Oshawa.ca/CommunityCleanup.

Pool Closures Scheduled in June

The following City pools will experience extended closures in June to undergo scheduled maintenance:
- Centennial Pool: Closed from June 9 to June 16. Scheduled to reopen on June 17.
- Donevan Recreation Complex Pool: Closed from June 17 to July 1. Scheduled to reopen on July 2.
