City of Oshawa residents 55 years of age and older now qualify for senior discounts on City recreation programs, memberships and admission fees.
City Council recently approved a new senior age requirement, lowering the minimum senior age from 65 years old to 55 years old.

With spring in the air, homeowners, families, businesses, students and community leaders are encouraged to volunteer in the City’s annual Community Cleanup Week.
The kick-off week takes place April 22-26. Groups of all sizes are invited to volunteer in cleaning up our parks, green spaces, trails and schoolyards. Durham Region Health Department, in partnership with local municipal recreation centres and the Oshawa Mary Street YMCA, is relaunching the Grade 5 Action Pass program for the 2023-2024 school year.
