Free activities and events during National Youth Week

National Youth Week is back! Oshawa youth ages 10 to 17 are invited to get involved in an exciting range of free workshops, activities and drop-in programs happening throughout Oshawa during May 1-7.
The Oshawa Youth Council played a key role in the planning and implementation of the week of free events. In collaboration with BGC of Durham, events will include sport, swims, a paint night, a youth symposium and more! Some events will require pre-registration for attendance. More information...

Call for Artists: Art & Culture in the Hall Temporary Exhibitions

The City of Oshawa is excited to invite local artists to submit proposals for temporary exhibitions to be displayed at Art & Culture in the Hall, located outside Council Chambers at City Hall (50 Centre Street South).
Up to four artists will be selected. All forms of 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional art, including multidisciplinary artworks, are eligible for submission. Exhibitions will be on display from October 2025 to January 2026. Submissions will be accepted until 12 p.m. on Friday, May 9,...

Service Oshawa will be closed on Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21. Customer Service Representatives will be available at Service Oshawa on Saturday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Construction commences on Bond Simcoe Urban Square

The City of Oshawa is pleased to share that construction is underway on the Bond Simcoe Urban Square, located in downtown Oshawa at the intersection of Bond St. E. and Simcoe St. N. This innovative urban space is set to become a vibrant hub for community celebrations and events in the heart of our downtown.
Current work involves preparing the site for underground services (including demolition and removals, site excavation and site servicing), subgrade elevations, and granular base installation.
Trail Closures due to Flooding

Update: The following trails have reopened.
- Oshawa Trail Sinclair Ave. to Gibb St.
- Harmony Trail at the King St. E. underpass
- Harmony Trail at the Bond St. E. underpass
The following trail remains closed due to flooding until further notice.
- Harmony Trail at the Adelaide Ave. E. underpass
The closure does not affect any roads.
