The Region of Durham has released staff recommendations on Alternative Land Need Scenarios intended to inform decisions on how housing, population and employment growth can be accommodated across the Region.

Emergency Preparedness Week is May 1 to 7, 2022 and the City of Oshawa reminds us that emergencies such as severe weather events or prolonged power outages can occur anytime, anywhere.
Community members are encouraged to be ready for an emergency by preparing an emergency kit for their home. The kit should have enough food, water and any applicable medications to last at least 72 hours (three days). Remember to think of pets in your 72 hour plan. Today, on April 28, 2022, the City of Oshawa observes National Day of Mourning.

Yard Waste Collection returns to Oshawa this spring

The City has kicked off our bi-weekly yard waste collection in Oshawa. Yard waste is collected every other week on the same day as garbage collection.
