Emergency Preparedness Week is May 5 to 11, 2024 and the City of Oshawa reminds us that emergencies such as severe weather events or prolonged power outages can occur anytime, anywhere.
Community members are encouraged to be ready for an emergency by preparing an emergency kit for their home. The kit should have enough food, water and any applicable medications to last at least 72 hours (three days). Remember to think of pets in your 72 hour plan. The City of Oshawa is excited to announce Freedom Mobile as a naming rights sponsor of Arena 2 at the City’s Delpark Homes Centre recreation facility for three years.

Where: Baker Park Bridge is closed between Regent Dr. and Parklane Ave. This closure does not affect any roads.
When: Until further notice. Council has approved funding for the design phase of a new bridge which staff are currently working on, with construction funding to be reviewed as part of the 2025 Budget process.
