In honour of Volunteer Recognition Month, the City of Oshawa would like to extend its congratulations to one of its long-standing volunteers, Judi Denny. On February 28, 2024, Judi was honoured at the Festival and Events Ontario (FEO) Awards ceremony, where she was awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award.

City of Oshawa residents 55 years of age and older now qualify for senior discounts on City recreation programs, memberships and admission fees.
City Council recently approved a new senior age requirement, lowering the minimum senior age from 65 years old to 55 years old.

Oshawa Animal Services celebrates its 100th adoption in the City’s centennial year!

Oshawa Animal Services (O.A.S.) has achieved a milestone in the City’s centennial year with the adoption of its 100th animal, a celebration of the community’s commitment to animal welfare and the success of the City’s adoption programs.
The 100th adoptable is a 3.5-month-old lab/poodle cross named Miles who found his forever home with Diane, a lifelong dog lover. O.A.S. sponsored the adoption, adding to the excitement.
