Do you know a senior who, after age 65, enriches the social, cultural or civic life of the Oshawa community?
The OSCC55+ is looking for candidates for the Province of Ontario’s 2021 Senior of the Year Award. Candidates will be vetted by the OSCC55+ and one nominee name will be sent for Oshawa City Council approval in April. The Senior of the Year Award will be given out by the City of Oshawa at an OSCC55+ Seniors’ Month event in June.

The City of Oshawa extends our condolences to the family and friends of Brock Township Mayor Debbie Bath-Hadden who passed away on Sunday, January 24 after courageously battling cancer.
Bath-Hadden served as Brock Township’s Ward 4 Councillor for three terms from 1997 to 2006 and then served as Regional Councillor from 2010 to 2014. Bath-Hadden was elected Mayor in 2018, becoming the first female Mayor in Brock Township’s history.
