Yesterday, for the first time since the formation of Durham Region in 1974, Regional Council approved a comprehensive set of recommendations to prioritize numerous high-value water and sewer infrastructure projects designed to increase the Region’s supply of market-ready employment lands. The City of Oshawa is introducing a new business licensing system for short-term rental operators renting their properties in the city.
Short-term rentals (S.T.R.) are properties rented out as temporary accommodations on S.T.R. company websites or apps. Examples are Airbnb, VRBO and HomeAway.
