Oshawa community members may notice an increase in coyote sightings this time of year as coyotes start seeking out a den to raise their pups. Residents and property owners are reminded not to feed coyotes and are encouraged to wildlife proof their property to minimize encounters and prevent denning.

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 (the Act) requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to disclose annually the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in a calendar year. Oshawa City Council is encouraging the Region of Durham, area municipalities and local businesses to consider joining them in making a donation to support the purchase of generators to ease the pressure on Ukraine’s electric grid.
