Exploring Nollywood: A Black History Month Celebration
Join us for a night celebrating the vibrant Nigerian film industry, Nollywood, at Regent Theatre, Ontario Tech, on Wednesday, February 26 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
In honor of Black History Month, we invite you to dive into the world of Nollywood, regardless of whether you're a seasoned fan or new to vibrant film industry. Explore the rich history, global impact, and exciting future of Nollywood.
The event will include live musical performances, a facilitated discussion about the Nollywood industry between Dr. Godwin Simon and Dr. Wesley Crichlow, and a film screening of the movie Conversations in Transit.
This event is hosted in partnership with the City of Oshawa, Ontario Tech University Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, and Ontario Tech Student Life. The film is supplied by Circuit TV.
