Inclusion Support for activeOshawa registered programs
The City of Oshawa provides accessible and inclusive recreation opportunities for participants of all abilities.
1:1 or 1:2 support can be requested for participants who benefit from additional support to be successful in a typical recreational program. Requests are processed in the order they are received and based on the availability of inclusion staff. Support is not guaranteed. Participants may provide their own support staff to assist if desired.
All participants requesting inclusion support are required to complete the Inclusion Services Participant Profile. The Inclusion Coordinator will confirm if the request for inclusion support has been fulfilled.
Inclusion support may be beneficial if the participant:
- receives additional support at school
- receives support at home for basic care
- engages in behaviour that could affect the safety of themselves or others
- is associated with a support agency
Register for Inclusion Support
You can request 1:1 or 1:2 inclusion support for any registered program listed in the activeOshawa Recreation Guide. Sign up for your program/camp of choice and the corresponding inclusion support course.
