Teen and Youth Fitness Programs
The City of Oshawa offers options for teens and youth to get active. We offer Teen Weight Training and are a proud partner of the Grade 5 Action Pass.
Teen weight training
Designed specifically for teens, this program will teach the skill to build muscle, gain strength, increase endurance and get into shape. The four hour program includes an orientation to the fitness centre, equipment, and education on safe fitness programs, techniques and fitness centre etiquette. View the Teen Weight Training Manual for more information.
Youth between the ages of 13 and 17 years, must register and complete the Teen Weight Training Course to work out in one of our fitness centres. The course is free with a Level 2: Fitness Centre or Level 2: All Inclusive Membership.
To register for the Teen Weight Training Course, contact a recreation facility and ask to speak to the Fitness Coordinator.
