Events in The Park Schedule
City of Oshawa presents Events in the Park! This free series runs from July to August and includes a variety of family- friendly events. The 2024 series will take place from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. every Tuesday at Memorial Park, located at 110 Simcoe St. S. and every Thursday at Ed Broadbent Waterfront Park, located at 169 Harbour Rd.

Inka's Band

Inka's Band is an Indigenous group from South America made up with talented musicians: Vicente Carbonel (Peru), Henry Sanchez (Ecuador), Edson Espinoza (Chile). Their music is traditional & world using different types of pan flutes, guitars, bass & drums.

Lazo and Exodus

Juno award winning Lazo brings to the stage a roots rock reggae rousing performance that is sure to keep the audience rocking, grooving, and talking about their experience for weeks to come. Lazo has been honing his craft as a prolific songwriter and multi-talented musician. He is a multi- Juno award nominee and won a Juno for "Heart and Soul".

Leave Those Kids Alone

Leave Those Kids Alone features talented teenagers performing note-for-note renditions of classic rock favourites. “Hey teacher!” This ain’t no noisey garage band, these kids are alright! Formed in 2018, the band has performed over 300 shows and are no strangers to events with 5,000+ people in attendance who can’t believe their eyes or their ears!

Produced by music teacher and former opera and theatre performer Lorna Brain, the show offers something for those of all ages with a focus on selections that will inspire you and leave you feeling uplifted.

Featuring all the greatest hits including Can't Get Enough, feel like making love, alright now, bad company, shooting star and much more. 5 veteran musicians each with over 40 years in music bring a high energy rock and roll show to the big stage that guarantees to have the crowd on their feet clapping, dancing and singing along to all of their favourite hits.

City Soul

City Soul is a rhythm and blues band formed in Toronto in 2012. The band is composed of vocalists Aria Zenua, Mikey Gizzle, (guitarist) Gary Lyttle, (keyboardist) Orville Malcolm, (bassist) Michael Thomas and (drummer) Worrell McFarlane Jr. The band members' style is influenced by several genres, including Funk, Pop, Reggae, and others; they each bring a unique flavour to the table, flowing seamlessly together.

Rebekah Stevens

Rebekah released her debut EP "Here I Am" in spring of 2013. Later that same year she was named a top 8 Boots & Hearts Emerging Artist Finalist, giving her the opportunity to play at one of Canada's largest country music festivals. Since then, Rebekah has shared many a festival stage with some of Canadian country's finest including Jess Moskaluke, Aaron Pritchett, the James Barker Band, the Reklaws & The Washboard Union. She has been labelled "One to Watch" by the Country Music Association of Ontario & her last few radio singles have seen heavy rotation on Sirius XM's Top of the Country station.
