Radar Message Board Program
The City introduced the Council Directed Radar Message Board Program to improve road safety on local streets with reported speeding concerns.
Each Radar Message Board Device is equipped with radar technology to detect the speed of approaching vehicles. The Radar Message Board records and displays vehicle speeds back to motorists. It is an education tool designed to increase motorist awareness and safety. These signs do not take photos of vehicles or issue speeding tickets to motorists.
Each Ward in Oshawa has 10 Radar Message Board Devices that can be installed at various locations. Locations can be requested through your Ward Councillor Members.
