Call for Artists: ARTBLOCK
The City of Oshawa and The Robert McLaughlin Gallery (RMG) are excited to present ARTBLOCK, a multi-faceted public art program for Convergence 2024. Taking place in downtown Oshawa on September 21, 2024, the Convergence Music and Art Festival celebrates Oshawa’s rich history of music and art by showcasing contemporary talents in our community.
We are seeking artworks by local artists for exhibition during the festival. Artworks will be printed and installed on A-frame signs throughout the festival.
Applications are due on or before Sunday, July 21, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.
A selection committee will be convened to review submissions and will be comprised of
City staff, RMG staff, members of the Cultural Leadership Council, and/or members of
the Public Art Task Force. Artworks for exhibition will be selected based on artistic merit, creativity and providing a complete submission.
