The Corporate and Finance Services Department provides services to support City initiatives and address customer needs. The department has five branches.

Finance Services
Finance Services provides corporate financial oversight and strategic direction to the Corporation of the City of Oshawa. Finance has three divisions:
- financial reporting and planning
- financial Services and procurement
- taxation services
Human Resource Services
Human Resource Services oversees all human resource activities, including:
- labour and employee relations
- corporate learning and employee communications
- health, safety, wellness and disability support
- talent and organizational development
Information Technology Services
Information Technology Services provides solutions vital to the efficient delivery of services, including:
- information technology and communications infrastructure
- information security controls and cybersecurity systems
- business applications and database management
- Geographic Information Systems (G.I.S.)
Innovation and Transformation
The Innovation and Transformation branch drives change through new activities and programs, including partnerships with the private and public sectors and collaboration with internal teams. This Branch oversees the following corporate initiatives:
- Accessibility and Age-Friendly compliance and initiatives
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
- Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation
- TeachingCity Oshawa
Legal Services
The Legal Services branch is the City’s in-house law firm. They provide legal representation on City business and operations matters.
