Celebrate Culture Days with free family activities in Oshawa
The City of Oshawa invites community members to celebrate Culture Days, a national event designed to foster public engagement within arts and culture. We encourage everyone to take part in the variety of activities planned for Saturday, October 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Arts Resource Centre (45 Queen Street, adjacent to Oshawa City Hall). Join us for a day filled with free activities, an artist talk and a film screening that showcases the talents and cultural diversity of our community. This unique opportunity invites residents of all ages to experience and participate in the vibrant cultural life of Oshawa.
Free activities include:
- Drop-in Art Activities suitable for all ages, led by the LivingRoom Community Art Studio, outside the Arts Resource Centre from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Artist Talk with Dani Crosby, McMillan Parkade: “Turning the Wheel” mural artist from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
- Film Screening of Robot Dreams (PG-13) presented by DRIFF from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Creative Writing Workshop (ages 16+) with local author Erica London from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (pre-registration required – visit register.oshawa.ca to register, space is limited)
- Pottery Workshop (ages 16+), led by the City’s instructor from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. (pre-registration required – visit register.oshawa.ca to register for the waitlist)
