June is Bike Month in Oshawa
Reminder: All are invited to participate in the Community Bike Ride to kick off Bike Month on Saturday, June 1, beginning at 9 a.m. at Lakeview Park.
Throughout June, Oshawa community members are invited to participate in the annual Bike Month celebrations and (re)discover the fun of riding a bike.
Cycling offers both physical and mental health benefits. It is a focus of Oshawa’s Active Transportation Master Plan, to improve walking, cycling, and other modes of active transportation opportunities and to promote active lifestyles.
In addition to Bike Month events across the Region of Durham, Oshawa is offering the following opportunities:
- Oshawa Community Bike Ride on Saturday, June 1 at 9 a.m. starting at Lakeview Park (Parking Lot G at 1557 Kluane Ave.)
- Bike Safety and Bike Repair Workshops on Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lakeview Park (Parking Lot G at 1557 Kluane Ave.)
