Oshawa announces new Commissioner of Community and Operations Services
The City of Oshawa is pleased to announce Kevin Alexander’s new role with the City as Commissioner, Community and Operations Services, effective November 27.
Mr. Alexander joined the City in 2016. In 2018, he was named the Director of the Facilities Management Services branch. The branch mandate expanded in recent years and as Director, he was responsible for facility capital projects, facility operations and maintenance; parks planning and development; and corporate security. Under his leadership, the branch delivered numerous successful projects, improved service delivery models and achieved operational efficiencies.
As the Commissioner of the Community and Operations Services Department, Mr. Alexander brings to his new role extensive experience as a collaborative leader and strategic thinker, and as leader who focuses on exceptional customer service delivery. He holds a number of designations and professional affiliations, including certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
In his new role, Mr. Alexander reports to the CAO and oversees the following branches: Community Support Services, Operations Services, and Recreation Services. These business areas deliver and maintain safe, inclusive and responsive programs and services to the community.
