Oshawa’s Toys for Tickets program wraps up for another generous year
The City of Oshawa is celebrating another generous Toys for Tickets campaign raising more than $2,200 in toys for children and youth in need in our community this holiday season.
Motorists who received a parking ticket from the City between November 19 and December 3 had the opportunity to make a contribution in lieu of the penalty payment.
This year, more than $700 in toys were collected at Service Oshawa, and an additional $1,500 was collected in online contributions, which were used to purchase toys for the 35th Annual Durham Regional Police Service (D.R.P.S.) Food and Toy Drive.
The City’s Toys for Tickets program has supported the community through the D.R.P.S. Food and Toy Drive since 2006.
