Time to plan for summer activeOshawa programs
The City of Oshawa offers a variety of summer recreation programs tailored to various interests for an unforgettable summer experience. We encourage community members to set aside time to register.
The city will open registration for summer swimming lessons only at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21. Registration for general summer recreation programs, including arts, dance, music, learn to skate and fitness, will open at 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 23.
Spots for many of our Summer Camps are still available for registration. Camps offer a wide variety of activities for children ages 4 to 16. Visit Register.oshawa.ca to sign up for an unforgettable summer adventure!
The City of Oshawa recognizes that during registration, due to increased user demand and the volume of requests to the website, users may experience a delay. To better serve you, the City has taken proactive steps, including adding system capacity and implementing a website queue when visiting activeOshawa Online. These changes will help manage high traffic demands on program registration days and improve the user experience.
Be prepared
Registration will be available online or in person. Although phone registration will not be available, Service Oshawa is available to assist with questions about the registration process.
Learn more about how to complete your program registration and browse program offerings in the activeOshawa Recreation Guide at Oshawa.ca/activeOshawa.
Community members are reminded to purchase their fitness membership and group fitness add-on in advance of registration to enjoy their benefits when registering for summer programs.
Online registration
Community members are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the program selection and activeOshawa account setup processes, including setting up a family group. For registration assistance, visit our activeOshawa Online Help for tips and resources.
Here’s how you can be prepared for online registration:
- If you do not have an activeOshawa account, create a new account
- If you have forgotten your password, request a password reset
- If you have an existing activeOshawa account but have not activated it online, activate your account
- If you plan to register your child(ren) or family members for programs, log in to your account and update or add your family group under “My Groups”
- If you are unsure of your child’s swim level, visit a recreation facility during public swim hours for a complimentary swim assessment or contact Service Oshawa at 905-436-3311 to connect with an Aquatic Coordinator
- If you need to update your email address, email active[email protected]
During peak registration periods successfully completed registrations will show under My Courses under the pending courses filter and will result in a credit appearing on your account until your invoice is created and sent. Invoices for confirmation of registration and payment will take several hours to be received. Once your invoice has been created, the credit on your account will be allocated to your invoice, and your registrations will then show under My Courses under the current and future courses filter. If you do not have a credit appearing on your account for the amount of the course(s), please email active[email protected] immediately.
Online payment options include MasterCard, American Express, Visa, and Visa debit. MasterCard debit and American Express debit are not accepted payment options.
