Volunteers wanted for June cleanup event
The City of Oshawa is calling on Oshawa community members, local organizations and businesses to join in and lend a hand to make the neighbourhoods, parks, trails and greenspaces in the downtown core cleaner with the next downtown community clean-up occurring on Saturday, June 22 beginning at 9 a.m.
Community members interested in participating in the downtown community clean-up are required to pre-register in advance at Oshawa.ca/MayorsCleanup or learn more by visiting Oshawa.ca/CommunityCleanup.
Participants will be provided with disposable gloves and garbage bags, and are asked to please meet at the City Hall North Parkette at 9 a.m. Complimentary parking is available in the staff parking lot to the west of City Hall (at King and Queen Streets), as well as complimentary on-street parking which is available in the downtown on weekends.
The City of Oshawa would like to thank our event sponsors: TD, Swish and Ontario Motor Sales for their continued support.
Mark your calendar! Join the Mayor’s next cleanup event with Friends of Second Marsh on Saturday, September 7, at Oshawa Second Marsh. All volunteers will receive supplies, including gloves, maps and garbage bags (while supplies last).
