Baker Park Bridge is closed due to safety reasons

Where: Baker Park Bridge is closed between Regent Dr. and Parklane Ave. This closure does not affect any roads.

When: Until further notice. Council has approved funding for the design phase of a new bridge which staff are currently working on, with construction funding to be reviewed as part of the 2025 Budget process. If the project is approved for construction, we anticipate completion in the third quarter of 2025.

Why: An assessment by a structural engineer determined that the bridge is unsafe for public use, leading to its closure.
