City of Oshawa exploring internet voting
The City of Oshawa is exploring the possibility of offering internet voting for its 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections and wants to know your thoughts.
Between Monday, June 3 and Wednesday, June 19, residents may be randomly contacted by Environics Research to participate in a confidential telephone or online survey. The survey looks to gain a better understanding of Oshawa residents’ voting preferences.
Residents and property owners not contacted by Environics Research can complete a feedback form before 12 p.m. Thursday, June 20:
- online on Connect Oshawa; or,
- on paper at Service Oshawa (located at City Hall, 50 Centre St. S.) during regular business hours.
Participation in both the survey and feedback form is voluntary and all responses will be kept confidential. Responses will be considered in the development of a report recommending voting methods for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections, which will be delivered to Council later this year.
