The City of Oshawa congratulates this year’s Community Legend Award recipient, who is being celebrated for their significant contributions to the community.
Community Legend Award
The Community Legend Award recognizes individuals and organizations whose everyday actions make a positive impact on Oshawa.
Selected by Oshawa City Council based on nominations from the community, Joanne Kozaroff, is the recipient of this year’s Community Legend Award in recognition of her transformative impact with her efforts to grow and strengthen girls' hockey. Joanne actively contributes to empowering young girls to pursue their passion for hockey. Joanne’s ability to foster the strengths of each child, build confidence in girls, and contribute to the growth of girls' hockey aligns seamlessly with the spirit of the Oshawa Community Legend Award.
