Cordova Valley Park – home to Oshawa’s newest splash pad
The City of Oshawa recently celebrated the completion of park upgrades and a new splash pad at Cordova Valley Park with an official re-opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony. The park redevelopment project was made possible by $975,000 in funding from the Government of Canada’s Canada Community-Building Fund.
Located at 811 Glen Street, Cordova Valley Park features a splash pad, new playground, enhanced amenities and upgrades to the soccer field. The park redevelopment project also included improved accessibility to the community garden as well as increased areas of planting and naturalization to provide pollinator habitat. The park is also home to the City’s newest off-leash area.
Community engagement helped inform the new features of the park. Construction started in May 2022 and was completed in November 2022. The splash pad opened in July 2023.
