The Hamilton Oshawa Port Authority (HOPA) is seeking engaged and enthusiastic community members to join the Port of Oshawa Community Liaison Committee (POCLC). The Port of Oshawa is a vital part of the regional economy, providing a gateway for trade, transportation and industry. This is your opportunity to play a role in fostering dialogue between the port and the community.

About the POCLC
The POCLC serves as a forum for information exchange and discussion between HOPA and key stakeholders in Oshawa and the Durham Region. The committee provides valuable input on port-related matters, including operations, projects, and community impacts.

Who Can Apply?
We are looking for up to five volunteer members representing a balanced range of stakeholders, including:
- Oshawa residents, in particular those living in the vicinity of the Port
- Business owners
- Community groups
- Indigenous representatives
- Other relevant stakeholders
Term and Commitment
- Volunteer members will serve for a two-year term, with the possibility of renewal for one additional term.
- The committee meets at least twice per year, with additional meetings as needed.
- Meetings will be held at the Port of Oshawa office or another Oshawa venue.
