Lane restrictions on Ritson Rd. from Viola Ave. to Mitchell Ave.

The Regional Municipality of Durham will begin deck repairs on the Canadian Pacific Kansas City railway overhead bridge on Ritson Road (Regional Road 16) in the City of Oshawa. The work includes bridge deck and sidewalk surface removals and patching, replacement of expansion joints and asphalt paving with associated traffic control.

The Region’s contractor, KB Civil Constructors Inc., will mobilize October 28, 2024, and is anticipated to complete the work by December 6, 2024.

Ritson Road (Regional Road 16) from Viola Avenue to Mitchell Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction for the duration of the repairs. Refer to the map below. 

Municipal construction projects include the use of equipment which may cause noticeable noise and vibration for nearby residents and businesses.
