Notice of Construction: Rose Valley Community Park
Date: Week of October 22, 2023 to Summer 2025
Location: 1095 Thornton Road North, Oshawa
Details: Community members are advised that the City of Oshawa will be undertaking construction of the Rose Valley Community Park including, site grading, pathways, playground, site furnishings, signage, and plantings.
How will this work affect you?
• For public safety, the Rose Valley Community Park at 1095 Thornton Road North will be closed and fenced during construction.
• The BMX Park and parking lot will be closed to users once construction begins.
• From time to time, heavy equipment will need to access the site from Thornton Road, and associated noise levels may increase during these times.
• There will be intermittent disruptions to the multi-use path along Thornton Road to facilitate construction.
• Regular work hours will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. Please note, construction will shut down for a period of time over the winter, and the site will remain closed and secure. Should you have any concerns during this time, please contact the City at the information provided below.
We realize that aspects of this work may be disruptive at times. While periods of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances may impact the work schedule, please be assured that the City of Oshawa will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible.
