Oshawa’s Toys for Tickets program wraps up another year of giving
This year’s Toys for Tickets campaign in Oshawa raised $3,750, which will help support local children and youth in need during the holiday season.
From November 19 to December 3, motorists who received parking tickets had the opportunity to contribute to the campaign in lieu of the penalty payment.
Thanks to the generosity of the community, $250 worth of toys were contributed at Service Oshawa, with an additional $3500 raised through online contributions. The funds collected were used to purchase toys for the 36th Annual Durham Regional Police Service (D.R.P.S.) Food and Toy Drive.
Since 2007, the City’s Toys for Tickets program has supported the community through the D.R.P.S. Food and Toy Drive, helping to bring joy to families in need during the holiday season.
