The Ministry of Transportation (M.T.O.) is undergoing work to replace the Wilson Rd. S. overpass structure along Highway 401 in Oshawa.
As part of the construction operations, M.T.O. will be implementing a long-term full closure of Wilson Rd. S. from Dieppe Ave. to Bloor St. E.
When: March 24, 2025 to late 2026.
Why: To replace the Highway 401 / Wilson Rd. overpass, including the lowering of Wilson Rd. and improvements to the associated embankments, retaining walls, noise barriers, drainage, lighting and signage.
Details:
During this period, both lanes of Wilson Rd. will be closed from Dieppe Ave. to Bloor St. E.
Southbound traffic on Wilson Rd. will be detoured at Olive Ave. Northbound traffic will be detoured at Bloor St. Dean Ave. and Dieppe Ave. will be closed with local traffic only.
Appropriate signage will be installed prior to the closure to notify the public of the closure’s date and times. All detour routes will be clearly outlined by the appropriate detour signage to guide traffic.
